DDO wiki:20th Anniversary

In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of DDO and the DDO Wiki, SSG have been kind enough to provide a selection for prizes for a special Anniversary Giveaway!

General Entry Rules

• In order to participate in this event, you must have created an account for the DDO Wiki on or before February 25th, 2026. Accounts created after this date (and therefore the official announcement of the plans for the giveaway) are not eligible to participate, nor are IP editors.
• Accounts that have not been active since August 25, 2025 (six months before the announcement of this giveaway) will not receive prizes from the sections of the competition (Edit Count Awards and Community Competitions) that are determined at the official beginning of the giveaway at noon EST on March 3, 2026. These accounts are still eligible to vote in the Community Choice Award and sign up for the Reward Raffles.
• Accounts that win one or more prizes from this giveaway will receive a notification from PurpleSerpent on their DDO Wiki talk page informing them of this. In order to arrange for delivery of your codes, please go to User:PurpleSerpent and click the link to "Email this user" on the left sidebar of the page; this will allow you to send an email from your DDO Wiki account to my email inbox which you can use to send me contact information to send your codes privately (an email address or DDO Forums username is preferred.)

The Giveaways

The Community Choice Award

• The Community Choice Award is a nomination-based award. Any user eligible to participate in the giveaway, as described above, may nominate up to three other users on DDO wiki talk:20th Anniversary/Community Choice Award. Please note that you may not nominate your own account, and that votes from IP addresses, shared bot accounts, users created after the announcement of the giveaway and votes from users that nominate the same account more than once or more than three accounts in total will be disqualified.
• Voting for this award will conclude at noon EST on March 24, 2026. The top five users in the standings will receive an item of their choice from the Community Loot List; furthermore, the winner of the vote will receive a code for 500 DDO Points.

Edit Count Awards

• Users with 500 or more total lifetime edits as of the official beginning of the giveaway will receive a prize according to the thresholds in the below table (you only receive the prizes from the highest threshold you qualify for.)
• Deleted edits are counted for this total, but edits made from shared bot accounts are not.

Contributor Competitions

• Contributor Competitions are split into three brackets:
  • "Old Guard", for users who created their accounts before DDO's 10th Anniversary on 28th February 2016
  • "Rising Star", for users who created their accounts on or after DDO's 18th Anniversary on 28th February 2024
  • "Seasoned Adventurer", for users who created their accounts between these dates
• Each Contributor Competition awards one prize to the top-scoring user in each of these brackets as of the official beginning of the giveaway. (The Most Active Editor award uniquely also gives prizes to the second- and third-placing editor in each bracket.) No single account can win more than one Contributor Competition.

Reward Raffles

• To sign up for entry in the Reward Raffles, you must make sure to do at least one of the following:
  • Place a legal vote (per the rules above and on the linked page) on DDO wiki talk:20th Anniversary/Community Choice Award - this is required for eligibility in the first raffle.
  • Sign your name on DDO wiki talk:20th Anniversary/Reward Raffles as demonstrated there.
• Entry into the Reward Raffles will close at noon EST on March 24, 2026; the winners will then subsequently be drawn randomly.
• There are three Reward Raffles. The Community Choice Voter raffle is only for users who voted legally in the Community Choice Award, while the Allcomers raffle is drawn for all users who signed up for entry in the Reward Raffles via either of the above methods. The Consolation Prize Raffle will be drawn after all other prizes have been awarded, and can be awarded only to users who entered into the Reward Raffles and have not won any other prizes from the giveaway (in the extremely unlikely event not enough people are left on that list, we'll prioritise people who won an Edit Count Award but nothing else.)
